In 1996, the Olivares family produced their first sweet wine with Monastrell grapes from their oldest ungrafted vines. This first OLIVARES Dulce Monastrell 1996 caused a sensation, quickly earning a place on the lists of the best restaurants. The family kept a small part of this first vintage in old barrels. After resting for 25 years, this wine was released as VALOR de Olivares.

Twenty-five years ago they decided to keep some barrels of that first singular wine. This short documentary aims to tell the story of this wine through its promoters and through such authoritative voices in the sector as Ferrán Centelles, ex-sommelier of El Bullli.
