Idea In 1996, the Olivares family produced their first sweet wine with Monastrell grapes from their oldest ungrafted vines. This first OLIVARES Dulce Monastrell 1996 caused a sensation, quickly earning a place on the lists of the best restaurants. The family kept a small part of this first vintage in old barrels. After resting for 25 years, this wine was released as VALOR de Olivares.
